The View From This Side of MLM

It's About Time. It's About Space...

...About two men in the strangest place."

That's the way the theme song started out for a comedy TV show many years ago about two space travelers that somehow flew through the barrier of time and landed their space craft among cave people.

Well, we in MLM talk about time, having our space free of the boss, no longer stuck in an office cubicle like a man or woman in the cave. Invite a friend to a home based business opportunity meeting? Well now you've got someone feeling as if they are in the strangest place. Imagine taking time away from your favorite TV show to go to a Network Marketing meeting at someone's home or a nearby hotel and have a complete stranger ask you about your dreams and then start drawing circles and little stick men on a white board telling you if you get enough circles you'll be rich! Strange indeed.

OK, heres the skinny, the straight dope, the 411, the real deal, etc. There are tens of thousands of these people going to meetings like this every week. Why? What is it that people are looking for that brings them out to a meeting or softens them up to let a friend drop by with a video? Is it the dream of owning their own business or are they wanting to stay home with their kids? Does a part-time income, a few extra dollars every month to catch up on the bills motivate them or are they looking to make more money working fewer hours, perhaps even a retirement income? Do they see a luxurious European sports sedan with their name engraved on a gold plate in the dash or is it on the nameplate of a building or meeting room at their church?

Actually the answer is all of the above. Each of these things represent a need in someone's life. Fulfilling those needs is what we do. We are the home based business professionals with a multitude of opportunities that cover a broad range of products and services. We earn money by having those products and services purchased through an ever growing network of people we have come to know either on our own or through others.

It's about time It's about space. And in the next couple of entries we will look at how that ever growing network of customers and business associates influences those things.

Best wishes

Oh, the riders on the bus go up and down....

...Well not necessarily.

A Philadelphia woman found out that there's more than one way to exit a bus. It seems a transit driver there doesn't mind you riding his bus but isn't appreciative of you riding his ummm, errrr ahhh, case, yeah riding his case, for missing a stop. Especially if he couldn't get to it.

Rumors that the rider was his mother-in-law are grossly unfounded.

...Funny but unfounded.

The Associated Press story reads, in part,
Philadelphia, PA. A transit bus driver grabbed a woman by the hair, knocked her head into a pole, opened the door and tossed her into traffic after she yelled at him for missing her stop, police said.

For the whole story as reported by CNN....

Meanwhile please keep your seat until the vehicle comes to a complete stop. Thank You
